For free-to-play games covering PS5 and PS4 combined, Fortnite was the most-downloaded game in the US and Canada While Rumbleverse was the most-played free-to-play title in Europe.
The most downloaded PSN games for September in the following table according to the data compiled by Sony and shared to FUT 23 Coins the PlayStation Blog.In another piece of PlayStation news Sony's God of War Ragnarok has finally been certified as gold as PlayStation has confirmed the fact that it was developed by nine different studios.
Sony has plans that are ambitious for its next generation of virtual reality hardware, as it plans that it will have two million models of its PSVR 2 headset ready by March next year.
The mass production of the virtual reality headset reportedly began at the end of September (via Bloomberg) and has been able to overcome shortages in the supply chain. With the PS5 remaining extremely popular due to its limited availability since its launch in November of this year, Sony will also be able to put more stock of the console on its shelves in early 2023 according to Bloomberg's sources.
PSVR 2 has yet be announced beyond 2023. However, Sony has been working hard to ensure that there's adequate stock of PS5 consoles available to play games on the new headset. The device will only work with PS5 and will not be backwards compatible with PSVR games.
What is known about the hardware is that it comes with impressive specifications. Similar to the PS5 with its DualSense controller Sony have incorporated haptic feedback, eye-tracking, inside-out tracking as well as 3D sound into its kit that hasn't yet been given an official retail price.
"PSVR 2 is poised to be an opportunity for gaming market," Tamoor Hussain wrote in GameSpot's PSVR 2 preview. "It is yet to FIFA 23 Coins see if PSVR 2 will generate a lot of interest, but at the minimum, I'm sure that it'll move us one step closer to realizing its full potential."
