PCOD is a very common problem these days and most young girls are facing this problem. There are many reasons for PCOD like hereditary, hormonal imbalance, unhealthy lifestyle, etc. But the most important factor which contributes to PCOD is diet. Yes, you heard it right, our diet plays a very important role in controlling PCOD.

There are certain Indian foods that we should avoid suggested by Best Dietician in Gurgaon if we want to keep PCOD at bay. Here is a list of such foods:

1) Refined carbs: Foods like white bread, white rice, pastries, etc. made with refined flour are high in sugar and calories and can trigger insulin resistance. Insulin resistance is one of the major causes of PCOD. So, it is best to avoid these foods if you have PCOD or if you are trying to prevent it.

2) Fried foods: Fried foods are high in saturated and trans fats which can lead to weight gain and increase the risk of heart disease. They can also worsen insulin resistance. Therefore, it is best to avoid fried foods if you have PCOD or if you are at risk of developing it.

3) Processed meats: Processed meats like sausages, ham, salami, etc. are high in saturated fats and sodium which can cause weight gain and increase the risk of heart disease. They can also worsen insulin resistance.
