Players will be able to reconstruct the region and complete daily tasks that will reward them in line with their progress. Even though the hats ' purpose is just for decoration and do not provide bonus stats, they are currently the most expensive item on the Grand Exchange, hitting the maximum price of 2.1billion gold in the year 2015.

In order to get their hands on head-on-heads in the Golden Party Hat, players will have to complete "various objectives" and earn eight golden shreds in return for their efforts. After all eight have been taken, they will be put together into the Golden Party Hat.

But, not only is the event time-bound, but just one golden hat is made for each participant. Much like the 2001 hats, Jagex affirms about the golden the hats "after the cut-off time it will be impossible to make them earned again!"
